Brad Pitt showed his support to his wife Angelina Jolie as he attended the Hollywood premiere of her new film Unbroken in her place on Monday night. The actor was joined by sons Maddox and Pax, daughter Shiloh and his parents Bill and Jane on the red carpet as Angelina was forced to stay at home with chickenpox. The Jolie-Pitt brood posed together as they arrived at the event, with eight-year-old Shiloh matching her older brothers in a smart suit.

Angelina, who directed the movie, released a video statement for her fans on Friday explaining that the illness means she will miss several promotional events for the film. Released by Universal Pictures, the video entitled 'A Message from Universal Pictures About Angelina Jolie', shows the actress and mother-of-six wearing little make-up and showing signs of red marks on her skin.
"I just wanted to be clear and honest about why I will be missing the Unbroken events in the next few days," she said. "Which is that I found out last night that I have chicken pox.

"So I will be home itching and missing everyone," she added. "I can't believe it because this film means so much to me. I can't believe it. But such is life, there it is." Angelina concluded the video by sending her best wishes to those involved with the film, which stars Jack O'Connell, Domhnall Gleeson, Jai Courtney, Garrett Hedlund and Finn Wittrock, for its showcase. "Send everyone my love and hope that everything goes well."
