Snuggling up to each other in the Alps, Peter Andre and Emily MacDonagh look thrilled to be on a winter break. The couple were chilling out ahead of Christmas at the picturesque Sainte Foy resort in France. On his return the popular TV personality tweeted about their amazing time, saying it was a great place to take children.

Despite this the duo appear to have gone solo on this occasion. It may be that 25-year-old Emily thought it best to get away for some quality time together before Christmas. Two years ago on 17 December Peter lost his brother Andrew to cancer so the festive season is a bittersweet time for him. The 41-year-old star recently spoke of how his "genius" fiancée helped him cope with his devastating loss.

One person who will also put a smile on his face is the couple's 11-month-old Amelia. The trio will spend the festive season with Emily's family enjoying their baby's first Christmas.

On New Year's they will throw a party for Peter's other children Junior and Princess from his relationship with ex-wife Katie Price.

It's thought that Peter and Emily will marry in 2015 – wedding planning took a back seat to her medical studies this year. "Emily's doing really well at the hospital and I'm really proud of her because she's a mum as well," explained Peter. "I'm sure secretly she loves to read all the bridal magazines but we've never really discussed it further. The plan was to always finish this section of her career – get used to calling her Dr Emily Mac – and so we've not really taken it any further but I do know I have to get a move on. We both will."
