Sam Faiers was born in Essex in 1990 and by the age of 20 had made a career out of this - starring in the hugely popular ITV scripted-reality show The Only Way Is Essex.

It was a runaway success, and won the BAFTA for Audience Award in 2011, with Sam and its stars, including Mark Wright, Millie Mackintosh, and Lucy Meckleburgh all becoming popular TV personalities.

Throughout the show Sam was seen in relationships with Mark and Joey Essex, and in 2012 Sam and Joey became engaged before later splitting. In 2014 though, the pair, who are also good friends, appeared to be back together again, posing for a cosy snap together.

Later the 24-year-old revealed: "We were 19 when we first got together so that's a long time. We are very much still in love  and we plan our future together, we just have a bit of a rocky road sometimes, just like a lot of young people."

"Obviously we're both busy and working on our careers and chasing our dreams, but eventually we'd like to live with each other."

Sam revealed to her fans in 2014 that she suffers from Crohns Disease, which was diagnosed after she collapsed whilst taking part on Celebrity Big Brother. Speaking to HELLO!, Sam said: "I haven't stopped eating or anything like that. I love my food  too much to diet! There's certain things I can't eat  but it's about trial and error," she revealed.

"I'm still learning about Crohn's myself, but it's not drastic changes. As soon as I started feeling better, exercising wasn't a problem, and the doctors said it was fine to continue with my routine."
