Ola Jordan is undergoing surgery in a bid to save her dancing career after sustaining a serious knee injury while training for winter sports show The Jump. On Tuesday, Ola's husband James Jordan shared a photo of the star in her hospital bed, which he captioned, "Understandably @The_OlaJordan is looking a bit nervous as she is just about to go for surgery."
In the picture, Ola, 32, can be seen looking solemnly towards the camera, dressed in her hospital gown. She had earlier shared a snapshot showing her leg wrapped in a bandage, telling fans, "I have asked my nieces to buy me slippers for my hospital stay… not what I had in mind. Lol."
Strictly star Ola damaged her hip and leg while preparing for Channel 4's The Jump at an indoor skiing centre in December. She sustained the injury two weeks before the end of her contract with Strictly, and had to be replaced with a different dancer for the show's big finale.
On Tuesday, Channel 4 confirmed that Chloe Madeley – the 27-year-old daughter of TV hosts Richard and Judy – will take Ola’s place on The Jump. Ola and her dancer husband have had a tough few weeks; James, 36, collapsed over Christmas and was rushed to hospital complaining of chest and stomach pains. "Spending our Xmas Day in Hospital," Poland-born Ola tweeted. "Wish someone could take @The_JamesJordan's pain away. And all he keeps saying is 'I'm sorry'."

James had told fans he was feeling unwell in the run-up to the holidays. "Little @The_OlaJordan is in London doing rehab for before her op, and I’m at home in pain still with my gallbladder," he wrote on Christmas Eve. "We're a right pair. Both laid up for Christmas will be fun," he added. "Lucky we have great family to look after us both."
