Former Friends star Matt LeBlanc and his girlfriend Andrea Anders have split up, it has been confirmed. His rep told Us Weekly that the couple, who had been together for other eight years, "decided to end things" some time ago. Matt and Andrea were last seen together on the red carpet at the Emmy Awards in August.

The former couple met on the set of his Friends spinoff series Joey, and went public with their relationship in 2006, shortly after he had split from his wife of three years Melissa McKnight. Despite the split, the actor appeared to be in high spirits as he attended the Season four premiere of his sitcom Episodes on Monday night. Matt, who now lives in London while filming the show, joked with his co-star Mircea Monroe as they were pictured together at the event. It is reported that the 47-year-old will be joined by his former Friends co-star David Schwimmer in the new series as he is believed to have filmed a guest appearance on the BBC show.

An on-set source told The Sun: "David and Matt shot scenes together earlier this year. It will be a great moment for Friends fans to see them reminiscing about the good old days – but they are unlikely to be best of buds on screen." The duo celebrated the 20th anniversary of Friends in September.
