Exciting news for Chris Evans; the 48-year-old Radio 2 presenter has become a grandfather for the first time. Chris made the big announcement during his breakfast show on Friday, shortly after his daughter Jade gave birth to a baby boy named Teddy. He also proudly shared a photograph of his tiny grandson on Twitter, writing, "Teddy Rupert is here!! Everyone is doing brilliantly. Congrats to Ma & Pa, Alison and Wardy, Sandra and Gavin."

Chris became a father to Jade when he was 21, and engaged to her mother Alison Ward. He is now married to wife Natasha, with who he has two sons, Noah, five and two-year-old Eli. Speaking on his radio show back in June, Chris revealed that his daughter, 27, was expecting a baby, due 29 December. "Over the weekend, while I was on my sick bed, my daughter rang to tell me I was going to be a granddad," he told his 9.85 million listeners.
"This now puts me staring straight down the barrel of becoming a granddad at the age of just 48. "Noah is going to become an uncle as well as little Eli, who is just two, and Tash is going to be a grandma." Chris and Jade had a turbulent relationship in the past, but are now happily reconciled. Last September he walked her down the aisle at her wedding to her car mechanic boyfriend Callum at a church near his home in Ascot.
