Michelle Keegan may be considering a move into the music industry and launching herself as a pop star. The actress, who currently stars in BBC drama Ordinary Lies, is said to be thinking "long and hard" about a career change. She most famously featured on Coronation Street for six years as Tina McIntyre, but left the soap in May of last year when her character was dramatically killed off. While Michelle has proved her talent on-screen, winning Best Soap Actress at the TV Choice Awards in 2012, viewers may be surprised to hear that she can also sing.

"A fair few record label people are interested in singing her already and she's thinking long and hard about it," an insider told The Sun. "[People] will be surprised to hear how good her voice is," they added. The speculation may come as a shock to Michelle's legion of fans, who are yet to see the actress appear on TV in her first post-Corrie role.

Earlier this month a preview of Ordinary Lies was aired, which shows Michelle and her co-star Cherrelle Skeete showing off their svelte figures and jumping into a pool. The pair play party-loving receptionists and wannabe WAGs Tracey and Viv in the six-part series, which hits screens later this year and has been written by BAFTA and Emmy-winning writer Danny Brocklehurst. The year is already shaping up to be a big one for Michelle, who is said to be marrying her fiancé Mark Wright soon.
