Taylor Swift has once again proved how much she values her fans as she has sent one loyal supporter a generous package including a cheque for $1989 to help pay off her student loans. Rebekah Bortniker posted a video on YouTube on Monday which shows her opening a box of presents from her idol and has been viewed over 250,000 times. Taylor added a note to the 25-year-old, thanking her for her support, in particular a video she had made of the singer and her famous friends set to the theme tune of the US sitcom. Rebekah reads out the letter in the video where Taylor revealed: "I love the video you made of me and my friends, and your text posts always crack me up or make me think."

Inside the box was a necklace that belonged to the Shake It Off singer, a piece of artwork painted by Taylor, and a purse that held a cheque and a note from Taylor, which read: "Rebekah, now you're $1989 closer to paying those student loans." The generous amount is a nod to the name of Taylor's platinum-selling fifth album, 1989. Rebekah is not the first Taylor Swift fan to receive a special gift from the star. Over Christmas she sent some loyal fans gifts including blankets, novelty aprons, cookies and Polaroid cameras, all wrapped and packed inside huge FedEx delivery boxes.

Taylor also wrote each fan a personal letter offering her thoughts on their favourite Instagram videos. The singer has previously used social media sites including Instagram and Twitter to cultivate her fanbase, and in 2014 created the Secret Sessions, inviting specially picked fans to her homes across the globe to listen to 1989 before its release.
