Former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney and his wife, Mila Mulroney, have listed their Montreal mansion for $5.8 million, saving prospective buyers $2 million on the original asking price.
Located in the city’s swanky Westmount neighbourhood, the seven-bedroom, seven-bathroom home has been on the market since September 2013 when it was initially listed at $7.95 million.

Brian, who was prime minister from 1984 to 1993, is said to be looking to downsize to a high-end, downtown condo now that his four children are all grown up and have families of their own.
Described as “discreetly tucked away into an intimate oasis,” the gorgeous house boasts an exercise room, a playroom, a nanny room, a gym, a library and an outdoor pool. It also comes with top-of-the-line appliances, like a basement wine fridge and a walk-in commercial fridge, though the grand décor, including the fine tapestries and rugs, are not included in the purchase price.
Built in 1950, the Mulroneys purchased the home in 1993 for $1.675 million and reportedly spent an additional $700,000 on renovations. Brian, 75, and Mila, 61, now split their time between Montreal and a second home in Palm Beach, Florida.
Meanwhile, Brian’s oldest son and eTalk host Ben Mulroney currently resides in Toronto with his wife, Jessica, and their three children – four-year-old twin boys, Brian and John, and their one-year-old daughter, Isabel.
The happy couple invited Hello! Canada into their home for an exclusive interview in Nov. 2013. Watch highlights in the video below!
