Kate Hudson and her son Ryder showed their charitable side on Monday as they volunteered at a hearing aid charity in Mexico. The actress shared pictures on Instagram of her outing with the 11-year-old, which she said was an "amazing and spirited experience". "Ryder and I decided to take a trip to Mexico to help @starkeycares fit hearing aids to those in need," she wrote. "Seeing the smiles of people hearing clearly for the first time has been an amazing and spirited experience. Thank u for allowing us to be apart of this mission #Starkey #StarkeyCares #SoTheWorldMayHear."

Ryder is Kate's eldest son from her marriage to musician Chris Robinson. The actress also has a three-year-old son called Bingham from her relationship with Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy. The couple announced their split in December, however have remained on good terms for the sake of their son. Proud mother Kate has previously described her children as her "role models", as she was honoured as the Celebrity Role Model Of The Year. "My children are my role models, too. I think you can learn a lot from your kids – the purity and the sense of how they attack things and how they communicate is inspirational," she said.
