Anne Hathaway is in awe of Amal Clooney. The actress was compared to George Clooney's beautiful bride during an interview with Extra this week, and her delight was evident as she praised the accomplished human rights lawyer. "You do bear a resemblance to the striking Amal Clooney, has anyone ever told you that?" host Tracey Edmonds asked Anne.

"I've never heard that, but thank you," the 32-year-old star replied. "That's so going to be the best thing that happens to me today." She continued: "I hope that one day I become half the woman she is, she is so accomplished and it's so thrilling to look at someone and say, 'Wow, you're really making the world a better place.'" Anne is currently busy promoting her new film, Song On e. The Oscar-winner not only stars in the indie drama, but she and her husband Adam Shulman also produced it.

The movie, which tells the story of a woman who strikes up a relationship with her brother's favourite musician after he is involved in a serious car accident, was Anne and Adam's first producing collaboration. "We both worked so hard on this," Anne said. 'It's 'whatever' when it's you, but when it's someone you care about as much as your husband… I'm just so proud of him." Also this week, Anne spoke about how marriage has transformed her relationship with Adam, whom she wed two years ago.

"We both talked about it beforehand, and how it wasn't going to change anything, but something shifts," she told Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie. "I didn't realise that I was keeping a part of myself protected, and it's kind of all on the line now. I'm his and he's mine." Savannah then said, "Can I tell you what he told us? He said the biggest surprise about being married is that he continues to fall deeper and deeper in love with you." "Well that's very nice," the star responded, with a big smile on her face.
