Jennifer Lopez reveals she wants more children

January 22, 2015

Jennifer Lopez has revealed that she wants to have more children in the future. The 45-year-old, who is a mother to twins Emme and Max from her marriage to Marc Anthony, said that she'd love to have "twins again". "I have two happy healthy kids, so okay, good, we're doing all right," she told People magazine. "I don't know if it's in the cards for me because of my age, but I would love to have another baby, to be blessed one more time. I'd love to have twins again."

The Boy Next Door actress admitted that spending time with her daughter made her realise that she'd love to expand her family, but she didn't know if it would happen.

Jennifer Lopez revealed she'd love to have more children

"I was thinking about that last night when I was in bed with Emme. I was just loving the moment. I don't know if it's in the cards, but you never know" she said. Jennifer also talked candidly about her love life, and said that she chose to stay single following her split from Casper Smart in 2014. "I had to make a commitment to myself to be alone: no flirting. No possibility of anything. No boys in any way, shape or form. I said, 'I'm shutting it down'. I'd never been alone." The mother-of-two said that she didn't give herself time to be alone after a relationship ended and "always found my comfort in another person".

"Instead of giving myself time to heal and be on my own, I was so afraid to be that I was always like, 'Okay somebody else just come in here and help me forget I'm in so much pain.'" However Jennifer hasn't given up on love entirely and says she is "open" to dating. "I still believe in the fairy tale. The more I work on myself, the more I give myself the opportunity to share a really deep and meaningful relationship that can give me my fairy tale and last forever." Jennifer and her former husband Marc Anthony finalised their divorce in June. The singer took primary custody of their six-year-old twins and has since previously said that being a mother is her "number one priority".
