Kylie Minogue remembered her late ex-boyfriend Michael Hutchence on Thursday. Poignantly, on what would have been the INXS frontman's 55th birthday, pop star Kylie stumbled upon a photo of the singer in an old diary.
"Of COURSE, I found this today!!!"
Kylie captioned the photo. "Or did it find me? It's from my old Fil-o-fax! Happy Birthday #MichaelHutchence #INXS #WeMissYou."
As well as Kylie, who first started dating Michael in 1989, numerous fans of the Sydney-born star remembered him on his special day writing messages such as "happy birthday Michael" and "gone but not forgotten".
Kylie's eerie find came several months after the Locomotion singer paid tribute to her former love at a concert in Liverpool.
As she kicked off her Kiss Me Once tour in the city, Kylie performed a sultry version of INXS's hit Need You Tonight. Dressed in a black PVC trench coat and hat, Kylie wowed the 12,000-strong audience with the song made famous by the Australian band in 1987.
Kylie has previously spoken about how she still holds dear the time she spent with Michael, who tragically died in 1997 at the age of 37.
"A guy with that much charisma, it doesn't just switch off, you don't just forget about that person," she told News.com.au.
"I don't know what it was like for the other women in his life, but my love for him remains." The pair dated for two years, until Michael famously ended the relationship over the phone after meeting supermodel Helena Christensen. In spite of their split, however, they remained close friends until Michael's passing in 1997.
