Bobbi Kristina Brown is recovering in hospital after being discovered in an unresponsive state on Saturday. The 21-year-old, whose mother is the late singer Whitney Houston, was found in a bathtub at her home by her husband and a friend. Nick Gordon, who tied the knot with Bobbi just over a year ago, performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on his wife until police arrived at the house – which is located in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. When police arrived on the scene Bobbi was given additional care before being taken alive and breathing to North Fulton Hospital, where she is said to have been placed in an induced coma.

E! News has said that Bobbi's father Bobby Brown and her cousin Jerod Brown, who goes by the name YF Kennedy, are en route to visit her in the hospital. "We don't know what happened yet," YF Kennedy told E! News. "We don't know why she was unresponsive." According to the Press Association, the incident "remains under police investigation", although initial media reports have said that officers found no indication that drugs or alcohol were involved.

Bobbi is the only daughter of I Will Always Love You singer Whitney and R&B star Bobby. Upon Whitney's tragic death in February 2012, at the age of just 48, Bobbi was left her mother's entire estate. Whitney was found dead on 11 February in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton hotel in California and authorities later confirmed that she had accidentally drowned. Prescription drugs were found in her hotel suite and heart disease and cocaine use were listed as contributing factors in her death. In March 2012, Bobbi, who was 18 at the time, spoke to Oprah about her mother's death. "I can hear her voice in spirit talking to me, 'Keep talking to me. I got you,' " she told the chat show host. "She's always with me. I can always feel her. I can always feel her with me."

The future looked brighter for Bobbi in autumn 2012 when she revealed that she had found love with Nick Gordon and the pair were set to marry. The couple's relationship initially prompted controversy as the duo had grown up together as brother and sister after Whitney informally adopted Nick when he was 12. "YES, me and Nick are engaged," Bobbi posted on Facebook in order to set the record straight. "I'm tired of hearing people say 'Eww you're engaged to your brother' or 'If Whitney was still alive would we be together' or 'Would she approve of this.' "Let me clear up something, we aren't even real brother and sister nor is he my adoptive brother. [She] never adopted him. In fact, mommy was the one who even said she knew that we were going to start dating."
