Kim Kardashian and Kanye West enjoyed a double date with John Legend and his wife Chrissy Teigen on Saturday night. Instead of dining at a five-star restaurant, however, the reality TV star and her rapper husband joined All of Me singer John and model Chrissy at a branch of fast food restaurant Waffle House after a glitzy night out. The famous group caused a stir at the Arizona eatery, standing out at the informal diner in their smart and glamorous party outfits. Kim sported a large black fur coat and stiletto heels while Chrissy opted for an elegant cream gown and a similarly-hued beaded bolero.

"Double date at the Waffle House," Kim captioned a photo of the foursome in the fast food eatery. Chrissy and John also shared photos from their evening out with Kim and Kanye. "Every house should be a waffle house," wrote Chrissy on Twitter, while her husband of 16 months captioned his Instagram image "La casa de waffle".

The group's surprising appearance caused the phrase 'Waffle House' to trend on Twitter, with many fans enjoying the contrast of the well dressed the couples amid the modest décor of the restaurant and noting that the chain had been given a celebrity seal of approval. Kim, Kanye, John and Chrissy are all in Arizona ahead of the Super Bowl on Sunday night.

Earlier in the evening the group had been out partying

The Keeping up with the Kardashians star arrived in Phoenix by private jet, accompanied by Kanye and their daughter North West. Sunday night's sporting extravaganza will see the New England Patriots take on the Seattle Seahawks at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.

"You can always count on my performances to be very colorful," said Katy, who will be joined by Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliot. "And I have brought in one of my favorite designers Jeremy Scott to collaborate with me."
