A stunning Côte d’Azur villa once rented by Hollywood bombshell Brigitte Bardot is now on the market for €7.5 million, or roughly $10.76 million(CAD). In an area that the actress helped make famous, the glamorous French Riviera, the abode is situated in the pretty hilltop town Peymeinade, just 30 minutes from Cannes – an ideal location for Film Festival attendees – and features sweeping views of the surrounding hillside.
The property has been lovingly restored since its 1950s and ‘60s heyday, and is divided into two separate buildings with 14 bedrooms in total.

Inside, the décor is romantic with a rustic, French-country feel. The outside space, however, is truly the property's biggest selling point, boasting immaculately landscaped gardens, two heated pools, an al-fresco kitchen, a 16-seater Jacuzzi and a vineyard.
Drawn to the seclusion of Southern France, Brigitte later bought a house called La Madrague in Saint-Tropez, where she would go to withdraw from the spotlight.

Once a famous party girl, the blond beauty retired from film in 1973 and became an animal rights activist. The 80-year-old former actress now lives in La Madrague as a recluse with her fourth husband, Bernard d’Ormale. She reportedly hasn’t set foot in the port of St-Tropez for more than a decade.
