Facing your partner's ex can be awkward at the best of times, but Dougie Poynter clearly isn't fazed by Ellie Goulding's ex-boyfriend Niall Horan. The McBusted bassist is joining his band to support One Direction on tour in Australia in February and says "it's not a big deal" to spend so much time with his girlfriend's ex.
"We're all big enough and ugly enough to not really care…we all have exes don't we," Dougie told AAP in Sydney.

"It's not a big deal, it's not like it was a marriage," the 27-year-old added.
Ellie was rumoured to have stepped out with the One Direction star in 2013, around the same time she was reportedly dating Ed Sheeran. The love triangle is said to be the inspiration behind Ed's number one single Don't, although it appears to be a case of water under the bridge now.

McBusted will kick off the tour with One Direction on Friday. Giovanna Fletcher, Georgia Jones and Izzy Judd have all jetted off to Australia to join their husbands, along with Giovanna and Tom Fletcher's adorable son Buzz.
Ellie hasn't joined the 'McWags' for the tour – the singer has returned to the studio to work on her third album.

Dougie and Ellie confirmed their relationship in May after months of speculation. The loved-up duo have been pretty much inseparable in recent months and enjoyed a romantic holiday together in the Scottish Highlands before Christmas. Ellie also joined Dougie as his plus one at his bandmate Danny Jones' wedding to model Georgia Horsley in August.
The couple are clearly serious about each other, and Ellie hinted that marriage could be on the cards for them in the future. Talking to The Sun on Sunday about the prospect of a wedding, Ellie said: "I mean eventually, like. Eventually, yeah. But not now as we both have lots to do."
