Georgia May Foote has reportedly called off her engagement to her long-term boyfriend John Sage. The news comes shortly after the actress spoke about leaving Coronation Street after nearly five years on the show.
Making a recent appearance on This Morning, Georgia was spotted not wearing her engagement ring – fuelling rumours that she and her teenage sweetheart John had in fact parted ways.
The brunette beauty is said to have told her co-stars about her split last week, during her work leaving do.

"She was telling everyone they'd split up and she was looking forward to a future acting career in America," a source told The Sun. "Everyone was very surprised because she has been very happy with him and never been interested in a showbiz lifestyle. But this will be a new start for her."
Georgia got engaged in 2013 and had been living with her fiancé John in Bolton. Four months ago the star posted a photo on Instagram of her beau and pet dog, alongside the playful caption: "Hard at work lads? @sagie_0391."

She has starred in Coronation Street since 2010, playing the role of teenage mum Katy Armstrong. Her storyline largely revolved around Katy's relationship with Chesney Brown, the father of her little boy Joseph, and her subsequent affair with Ryan Connor.
Last year Georgia announced that she would be leaving the soap and was excited about the challenge of finding future roles. The 24-year-old has spent the past month filming her final scenes, but this may not be the last we see of her character Katy as scriptwriters have left the door open for Georgia to return if she wants.
"Katy goes off to Portugal… she waves goodbye," the actress said of her imminent departure, speaking to Phillip Schofield and Christine Bleakley.

"I'm a bit sad," added Georgia. "Obviously I'm going to miss loads of people, the crew, the production team, my cast mates and all that, but I'm ready. It's been nearly five years now so it's a long stint to do there and I'm excited."
Georgia was celebrating her birthday on the same day as her televised interview, and was surprised with a birthday cake and bouquet of roses. "It's got my name on it and everything! Thank you, that's made my day. I'm so lucky!" she told the show hosts.
