Declan Donnelly, of presenting duo Ant and Dec has revealed how he proposed to his girlfriend Ali Astall. During an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, Dec told the presenter how he popped the question to Ali on an Australian beach at sunset before travelling to film I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!. "It got to the last evening and we'd organised dinner on the beach," he said. "We went round to one side of the island, the only place on the island where you can see the sun set, and we just went round and we watched the sunset go down and we did it there, it was lovely."
Ant says he "can't wait" to be Dec's best man
Dec also went on to admit that he found it "a little strange" when he first started dating Ali as she had worked as his manager for more than ten years. Now, however, the 39-year-old Geordie says their relationship is better than ever. "It's going good," he told Jonathan. "Everything's hunky-dory."

Dec's long-time presenting partner Ant McPartlin also revealed on the show that he is counting down the days until his friend's wedding as he can't wait to be best man. "I can't wait!" he said. "He was best man for me, I've been married eight years now. His speech was very good, very funny so I've got a lot to get him back with!"

Dec, who previously dated actress Clare Buckfield and Ben Ainslie's TV presenter wife Georgie Thompson, announced his engagement in November 2014. At the time the couple had been dating for a year, although their friendship and working relationship stretched back over a decade. "Dec and Ali are completely besotted with each other," a source told the Mirror. "They have been best friends for a long time. Dec soon realised that the he'd met the girl he wanted to spend the rest of his life with and felt ready to settle down."
