Elton John shares sweet snap of young sons 'happy to see Uncle Neil' at Oscars party

Sir Elton John hosted his annual Oscar Viewing party on Sunday in Hollywood, and shared an adorable picture of his two special guests of honour. The internationally acclaimed pop star's photo showed his two sons, Zachary, four, and two-year-old Elijah, sat on the laps of their father's, Elton and husband David Furnish, and he captioned the snap: "The boys stop by for a visit in the sweetest little black tie dinner suits. 

"They are so happy to see Uncle Neil on the big screen!!@Ejaf #Oscars."

Elton John's sweet snap received the most likes on Instagram for his Oscars evening pictures 

'Uncle Neil' is Elton and David's good friend Neil Patrick Harris who hosted the 87th Academy Awards on Sunday. Neil and his husband David Burtka, and their two children, regularly holiday with Elton and his family, who cheered on Neil's hosting gig from the viewing party with the likes of Kylie Minogue, Miley Cyrus, and Sharon Osbourne.

The annual viewing party aims to raise money for AIDS awareness, and Elton later posted a second picture from the event, revealing: "Shine the light!! I want to personally thank each and every person who supported tonight's Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Viewing Party.

The event encourages guests to donate money to the cause, and during the evening, guest can step on to the stage to encourage further donations. At one point, potty-mouthed Sharon reportedly made a profane outburst, as she reminded guests that they were there to help fight AIDS.

Elton John performs with Chic star Nile Rodgers

Other memorable moments included Elton taking to the piano to play with celebrated musician Nile Rodgers. Elton shared a snap of the special performance, revealing to fans that the duet was "one of the highlights of the night".
