Madonna has assured fans she is fine after taking a tumble during her Brits performance

Madonna, 56, fell backwards down three steps after her cape refused to detach. Her outfit, which quickly became the talking point of the evening on the Twittersphere, was the creation of her stylist B Akerlund. Alongside the cape it featured a custom-made sleek leather jacket which was embellished with black crystals and ruby stones as well as an "M" emblem. The evening's hosts made sure they didn't miss out on the opportunity for a spot of comedy over the legendary star's mishap. Ant and Dec jested: "Ta for all your lovely messages, we really enjoyed it. We're stuck in A&E with @Madonna. Still an hour wait..... #BRITs2015."
