Brooklyn Beckham celebrates turning sweet 16

March 4, 2015

Happy birthday, Brooklyn Beckham! As the young model celebrates turning sweet 16, HELLO! Online takes a look at what the stars have in store for Brooklyn and you…

This is what Brooklyn who is a Pisces, can be expecting today:

Famous people, some philosophers argue, have less free will than anonymous folk. They argue that when a celebrity makes a choice, this may have an implication, of a kind at least, on many more lives than a similar choice made by a person with fewer social and emotional connections. Who is watching you now? Whose life may alter if you do one thing, yet not another? Who may even be secretly wishing and hoping that you reach decision X instead of Y? You may have less freedom than you think.

Brooklyn Beckham is the eldest son of fashion designer Victoria Beckham and footballer David Beckham, and was born in 1999 at the Portland Hospital in London. The youngster's name choice was unusual at the time, although David and Victoria later revealed that it was chosen for the place of his conception: "I like Brooklyn as a name - it's quite different - but you couldn't do it all the time", revealed Victoria.

Reportedly a shy and quiet teenager, Brooklyn grew up between London and Los Angeles. David and Victoria have spoken of trying to keep their children grounded, and in 2014 Brooklyn found himself employment with a weekend job at a local coffee shop near to his house.

That same year he made his modelling debut, appearing on the cover of Man About Town magazine. It followed his younger brother Romeo, who was already modelling for Burberry, but as the eldest, Brooklyn has always been more focused on his school and soccer.

He joined Arsenal's youth squad late in 2014, and in January 2015 hit the headlines when he was a surprise addition in Arsenal's Under-18 side. Unfortunately, the team soon made the surprising decision not to retain him.

Despite splitting his time with London and LA, a friendship blossomed between Brooklyn and Hollywood actress Chloe Grace Moretz in 2014, although the two remain coy on their relationship status.

As Brooklyn turns sweet 16, dad David has revealed that Brooklyn will be having two parties - one for family and one for friends. "I think [Brooklyn] wants to go for a dinner with his friends and he'll have a separate dinner with his family", David told Good Morning Britain - and just like any true teenager, Brooklyn is also a huge fan of social media.

Instagram is a favourite for the youngster, with Brooklyn regularly posting selfies, pictures of his football team, and behind-the-scenes of his shoots.
