The family of Bobbi Kristina Brown have asked people to continue to pray for her recovery after she spent her 22nd birthday on Wednesday "fighting the battle of her life". Bobbi Kristina's aunt, Pat Houston, released the emotional statement on Whitney Houston's official website along with an old picture of the 22-year-old and her late mother.
"Today is Bobbi Kristina's 22nd birthday and we ask you to continue to keep her in your prayers as she is still fighting the battle of her life," she wrote.
Members from both sides of the family gathered for a bittersweet celebration at Bobbi Kristina's bedside to commemorate her 22nd birthday on Wednesday. Meanwhile her boyfriend Nick Gordon tweeted his birthday wishes to Bobbi Kristina.

"Happy Birthday baby I wish I was there with you to hold you and be by your side," he tweeted.
The 25-year-old has been banned from visiting his girlfriend in hospital since she was admitted to hospital on 31 January. Following the incident there has been increasing tension between Nick and Bobbi Kristina's family, with Nick tweeting his frustration at not being able to visit her in hospital.
"Let me in the hospital to see my girl and let her hear my voice SHE WILL WAKE UP!!!" he wrote in February.

Nick has chosen another public venue to discuss the dispute, and will appear on The Dr. Phil Show to open up about the "severe pain, mental anguish and panic attacks" he says he has experienced since discovering Bobbi Kristina in January.
Bobbi Kristina has not regained consciousness after being discovered in an unresponsive state in her bathtub at home in Atlanta, and her family are continuing to pray for an improvement in her condition.
"There's nothing else we can do," a family member told People. "So we just wait."
