The movie, based on the novel by master storyteller Nicholas Sparks, charts the love story between an art student from New York and a former champion bull rider looking to make a comeback. Ahead of its release find out more about Hollywood's hottest new discovery.
The actor is the son of Clint Eastwood and flight attendant Jacelyn Reeves.
At birth on 21 March, 1986, he was named Scott Clinton Reeves but goes by his father's name professionally.
Scott grew up in Hawaii, which probably explains why he loves surfing, diving and fishing.
He is one of seven children born to the screen legend; one sister, Kathryn Reeves, has the same mother as him.
His screen debut was in Flags of our Fathers, directed by his dad.
Career highlights since then have included appearing in Invictus and Fury opposite Brad Pitt.
Like Brad, Scott is a bit of a prankster. On The Longest Ride, he rang in one day to say he'd been pulled over by the cops and that he was going to need help from the producers to get out of a scrape, sending panic across the set. His instagram account is also full of silly pictures of him wearing wigs and larking about.
Unsurprisingly given his good looks, he has a sideline in modelling, including contracts with Hugo Boss and Davidoff Cool Water.
Scott was friends with the late Paul Walker and supports his foundation Reach Out World Wide.
Being a man's man, he is very handy around the house and has remodelled his own bathroom.
