Ahead of the launch this week of her autobiography My Flight to the Top, Michelle Mone has posed for an exclusive photoshoot in HELLO! magazine at her new penthouse apartment overlooking the River Thames. "This penthouse is the start of my life and my amazing future," the first lady of lingerie tells HELLO!.
When she first viewed the apartment she said, "I walked in and Tower Bridge completely lit up the living room. I thought, 'This looks like something out of a movie. Is this for real?'"
The emotional toll of writing her book last year, dipping into the pain of the past including the break-up of her 20-year marriage, led to a drinking habit that, at its worst, would see her polish off almost two bottles of wine a night, but she tells the magazine she enjoyed her last glass of pink champagne before the clock chimed midnight on New Year's Eve and has since lost 16lbs and feels "amazing".
Even though she is a multimillionaire, the co-founder of lingerie brand Ultimo reveals: "I'm doing well, but I'll never become complacent. I wake up every morning with fear in my stomach and that's what keeps me driven. I don't know when I'll ever think, 'I've made it.'. That's a dangerous point. That's when you start to slow down."
