Jake Quickenden has fallen "hook, line and sinker" for Carl Fogarty's daughter Danielle. The couple were introduced following Jake and Carl stint in the I'm A Celebrity jungle last year, and the X Factor 2014 contestant is totally smitten. "I am hook, line and sinker at the moment. I can happily say it's love," Jake told The Daily Star. "To be honest, I couldn't ask to meet a better person than Danielle. We get on so well together and are both really happy."

He also revealed how he broke the news to his former campmate Carl, who was crowned King of the Jungle 2014. "I didn't really tell Carl or ask his permission. I was just round his house all the time and I think he thought, 'Why the hell is Jake here drinking my beer and eating all my food all the time?'" 26-year-old Jake said. "Then eventually we sat down and I told him I was serious about Danielle and wouldn't hurt her."

He added, "Carl just said he couldn't ask for a better person to see his daughter. He said some lovely things and was pretty happy." Jake struck up a close relationship with Danielle, 23, shortly after returning from Australia, and spent Christmas with the family at their Blackburn home. At the time, a source confirmed to the Sun, "They've grown very close and really like each other. They are taking it very slowly because they don't want to ruin their friendship and he's just come out of a relationship.

"He's been welcomed with open arms by the family and they're having a lot of fun." Jake had just come out of a four-year relationship with Victoria Skerrow when he entered the I'm A Celebrity jungle. He is set to join The Dreamboys upcoming tour for four dates later this year, and just last month announced details of his own Laid Bare summer tour, which will see the singer perform nine dates around the UK in July.
