Just hours before Zayn Malik confirmed that he had left One Direction, the show had to go on for the remaining four band members. After performing in Jakarta, a video of Harry Styles appeared to confirm to fans that the band did know about Zayn's upcoming announcement, as Harry, unable to cope with his emotions, broke down in tears on stage.

The short seven second clip of Harry crying was posted on YouTube by a One Direction fan calling themselves ameylie Jones, who was at the concert.
Harry couldn't hold back his tears
Harry, wearing a black T-shirt and his hair in a trademark bun, can be seen unabashedly wiping away tears, first with his fingers before he uses his whole arm.
As his adoring fans looked on, Harry walked aimlessly around the stage, whilst the rest of the band sang.
In an Instagram video posted by SpinnrPH, Harry was caught thanking the fans profusely: "The last five years, it's absolutely incredible, and we just want to tell you how much we love you one last time, you are absolutely incredible.
"Thank you so so much for being our fans, we love you, we love you very very much."
Zayn confirmed his departure with a statement on Twitter
The news that Zayn had decided to formally leave the band after five years came as a huge shock to the millions of fans across the globe.
In a statement, Zayn said: "My life with One Direction has been more than I could ever have imagined. But, after five years, I feel like it is now the right time for me to leave the band."
He continued: "I'd like to apologise to the fans if I've let anyone down, but I have to do what feels right in my heart. I am leaving because I want to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight.
"I know I have four friends for life in Louis, Liam, Harry and Niall. I know they will continue to be the best band in the world."
One Direction were formed in 2010 on The X Factor
Harry and the other members of One Direction - Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan, said: "We're really sad to see Zayn go, but we totally respect his decision and send him all our love for the future. The past five years have been beyond amazing, we've gone through so much together, so we will always be friends."
They then eased their fans nerves by revealing that One Direction will carry on as a four-piece: "The four of us will now continue. We're looking forward to recording the new album and seeing all the fans on the next stage of the world tour."
