Louis Smith has spoken fondly of his new girlfriend Lucy Mecklenburgh, calling her the jigsaw piece "missing" from his puzzle. The Olympic gymnast made the sweet admission a few months into their blossoming relationship.
The 25-year-old, who also admitted that he has tried to sweep Lucy off her feet, couldn't help but smile broadly when asked about his current mindset.
"Everything's great and I'm very happy," Louis told The Mirror. "Someone to share things with was the one thing missing from my puzzle, so it's lovely to be with Lucy."

"We've been seeing each other for a few months, but it feels so easy and as if we've known each other for ages," he added.
The silver medallist – who met Lucy while she was a contestant on gymnast show Tumble and he was a judge – also spoke about their compatibility.
"She's very driven, busy and a real planner whereas I'm probably more laid-back because, if I look ahead too much, I get stressed and then I don't do well," said Louis. "We complement each other well."

The romance certainly seems to be going well for the good-looking pair, who often openly declare their love for each other on social media.
Louis has introduced his new girlfriend to his mum Elaine, and added that they get on well. Elaine and Lucy recently stepped out together to support Louis at the gymnastics British Championships.
"My mum's so important to me," said the sportsman. "She still helps look after me sometimes by coming over and cooking and helping out with my house, and it's great that she likes Lucy and they both get on."

Lucy, 23, has also spoken about how happy she is with Louis. The former TOWIE star, who was previously engaged to Mario Falcone, has fallen head over heels in love with Louis, from the moment they first spent time together.
"It was probably the best first date I've ever had," Lucy revealed to HELLO! magazine, with Louis cooking spaghetti and meatballs and inviting his future love to help him put up his Christmas tree.
Lucy added: "I've experienced what it feels like [to have an unfaithful partner] so I would never cheat. I trust Louis completely and I don't think I've ever felt that way before. His mum even said to me on New Year's Eve, 'Louis would never cheat on you. He would never hurt you'."
