Lily-Rose Depp – the 15-year-old daughter of Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp – made a rare public appearance at a Chanel event on Tuesday. Fresh-faced Lily seems to have inherited the best of her parents' genes, as well as her mum's quirky-cool approach to fashion.The petite teen, who has had her hair cut into a chic bob, chose a striking pastel outfit, featuring a crop top and pencil skirt, with a silver belt around her waist and a scarf draped around her neck.

She attended the Chanel Metiers d'Art show in New York along with her French actress mother, who turned heads in a boucle black dress that had a silver criss-cross design and a bejewelled belt.Longtime Chanel ambassador Vanessa, 42, has a long history of collaborations with the firm's iconic designer Karl Lagerfeld. Vanessa first stared in a Chanel perfume ad in 1991, according to Vogue, and appeared as the face of the label’s Rouge Coco lipstick in 2010.

Karl also got behind the camera to shoot Vanessa for the 2010 album of her best hits, Une Nuit a Versailles. "It feels good to be his doll," Vanessa told Vogue at the time. "He always has the best ideas and has an amazing sense of improvisation. "Vanessa and Lily-Rose were seated alongside a number of famous faces at the Chanel event, including Beyoncé, Julianne Moore, Dakota Johnson, Pharrell Williams and Lily Collins.Mother and daughter were also joined by Vanessa's partner Benjamin Biolay. The couple started dating in 2012, following the end of her long-term romance with Johnny.

Johnny and Vanessa were together from 1998 until June 2012, when they shocked fans with the news they were spliting up. As well as Lily-Rose, the former couple are parents to 12-year-old son Jack. Johnny, 51, married to actress Amber Heard, 28, in February.
