Lewis Hamilton could be making the move from motor racing to music if his latest revelation is anything to go by. The Formula One champion revealed that he has written a love song inspired by his recent split from Nicole Scherzinger after a seven-year relationship.

In an interview with The Sun, Lewis said that he finds songwriting "a really good way of clearing your thoughts", before giving a hint at what fans could expect from his music.

"My best song is called J'adore. It is kind of urban pop and I sing as well. I write my own stuff. I really enjoy the whole creative thing and I've always loved doing it."

The 30-year-old recently divulged that he got into music after building a recording studio for his former girlfriend.

"I actually built the studio in my house for someone else and ended up using it," he told BT Sport. "I built it so we could be in the same place all the time… but now I use it all the time instead."

Lewis also said he has played the track to some influential friends for feedback.

"I have played it for Pharrell Williams as well as Timbaland and Drake because I want feedback from as many people as possible."

Lewis and Nicole called time on their relationship in February, with sources close to the pair claiming that it was their differing views on marriage that tore them apart. Their busy work schedules are also said to have put a strain on their relationship.

While Nicole admitted to being "devastated" by the split, Lewis recently said that he wouldn't let heartbreak get in the way of his success this season, and claimed: "I feel stronger than ever".
