Spencer Matthews is a reformed man. The Made in Chelsea star – and former self-confessed lothario – has admitted that he is head over heels in love with his girlfriend Lauren Frazer-Hutton.
The hot couple have been dating for around six months, with Lauren introduced as Spencer's new love interest in the show's last series.
The pair returned to TV screens on Monday night, and despite the air of tension surrounding them in some scenes, Spencer has eagerly declared his love for the pretty brunette.
"I'm very happy and very in love," the Made in Chelsea star said
"I have a wonderful girlfriend and I'm very happy and very in love," said Spencer during an appearance on ITV's This Morning.
The City worker, who is known to have cheated on previous girlfriends and fellow Made in Chelsea co-stars Lucy Watson and Louise Thompson, added: "I have [calmed down] now."
"I haven't had a drink for three months today actually, and I suppose my behavioural changes probably have been affected by the no drinking," he said. "I think the no drinking is a definitely positive thing for me and a good change in my life for the moment."
Lauren Frazer-Hutton and Spencer Matthews have been together for about six months
In the latest episode, Spencer and Lauren experienced a minor "speed bump" in their relationship. Fans discovered that the couple have been living together for a few months after Lauren's house offer fell through, with Spencer remarking that it wasn't an ideal situation.
The argument took place when the pair were having a romantic dinner for two in their villa in Barbados, while the rest of the Chelsea gang were out partying.
"You get a very good and real insight into our relationship," said Spencer. "Hopefully it's not boring! Like every relationship we have our slight ups and downs, but the focus is definitely on other characters."
"I haven't had a drink for three months ," admitted Spencer Matthews
When co-star Jamie Laing was asked if he misses his party buddy, he admitted, "I'm actually alright with it… he was so tiresome! And also his beard looks great at the moment, I really like it!"
A host of new faces have joined the SW3 series, including Andy Jordan's new potential love interest Jess, Jamie's childhood friend Emily and Binky's good friend Fleur.
