Louis is believed to have already signed up UK X Factor finalist Jack Walton and is rumoured to be searching for a new girl band in the not too distant future. One Direction's legions of fans were, of course, quick to support him in his new venture and the hashtag "Proud of Louis" began trending worldwide shortly after the news was announced.Doncaster-born Louis has previously spoken about his interest in the business side of One Direction's stellar career. "I have to be kind of be on board with every minor detail and [I'm] quite opinionated," he previously told Billboard. "It's quite important for me personally to be involved with the whole project."

The keen footballer previously attempted to branch into the sporting industry

This is also not the first time that the singer has shown his ambition to take on other projects. In July 2014 he attempted to take over his local football club Doncaster Rovers by using crowdfunding to help raise the money. Unfortunately the bid was unsuccessful."I'm absolutely gutted the Doncaster Rovers deal is not going ahead," tweeted Louis at the time. "I am desperate for the club to be given the recognition it deserves :(."I was explicitly told that the deal to buy the club was not dependent on the money raised by Crowdfunding," he added. "Unfortunately I was misled. And to all the Doncaster Rovers fans, I will do all in my power to help the club succeed. I really do love the club!"
