Tina Knowles recently married her partner Richard Lawson on board a gorgeous sun-drenched boat moored outside of Newport Beach. The 61-year-old mother of pop superstar Beyoncé has now admitted that it was her choice not to have her talented musician daughters, Beyoncé, and younger sister Solange, perform at the wedding.
Tina spoke to People about her special day, and told the magazine: "We didn't want them to work.
"We wanted them to enjoy the day and not have the pressure of it."

Opening up about her wedding day, Tina added that the day "couldn't have been more perfect". Tina's grandchildren, three-year-old Blue Ivy, and Solange's ten-year-old son Julez, acted as flower girl and ring bearer respectively.
The pair said "I do" after an 18-month relationship, but the two had known each other for more than three decades.
"To walk down the aisle and see all my friends and family and to see my handsome man standin' there, and to know that at 61 you can still find love and have a magical day like that … it was really beautiful," Tina told the magazine.

Tina wore a long, slinky white gown designed by Romona Kevez, which wrapped over one shoulder and had a knee-length split, and she opened up about how important it was to her to wear white again for her second marriage
"It was important to me to have a wedding and walk in white, because sometimes we feel that at a certain age you should act a certain way," she said.
"You can find love at any age. You just have to go for it."
As well as her daughters, Tina and Richard's guests included Jay Z and Solange's husband Alan Ferguson, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, and Samuel L. Jackson.
