Victoria Beckham congratulates son Romeo at London Marathon

April 26, 2015

The Beckham family stepped out in full force to cheer on young Romeo, who took part in the London Marathon children's race on Sunday morning. The 12-year-old successfully completed the three-mile run, raising £6,000 for charity in the process.

Proud mum Victoria shared her pride on Twitter, posting a photo of her second son alongside the caption, "Well done Romeo!! We r all so proud!! Running @LondonMarathon for @UNAIDS and 7 Fund x vb."

Despite having just taken part in the mini marathon, the Beckham lad looked picture perfect in the photo, barely breaking a sweat. Dressed in his all-black running gear and wearing his shiny new medal, Romeo appeared the ultimate champion.

Romeo Beckham raised £6,000 for two charities that his parents support

The aspiring model, who has fronted Burberry campaigns in the past, had the full support of his family on race day.

His parents David and Victoria and his brothers Brooklyn and Cruz all sported "Team Romeo" T-shirts and waved hand-made posters – bearing slogans such as "Run Romeo Run" and "Just Keeping Running Romeo" – as he sped past.

Three-year-old Harper, the youngest member of the fashionable family, was not spotted at the event.

Proud big brother Brooklyn Beckham also congratulated Romeo on Instagram

After the race Brooklyn shared an Instagram photo of himself and Romeo and captioned it, "Congratulations Romeo for raising £6,000 for UNAIDS and 7 Fund."

The inspirational youngster had chosen to support charities that hold a special place in his parents' heart. Victoria, 41, was named a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN's Aids campaign last year, choosing to take on the role after a trip to South Africa.

David, meanwhile, launched the "7: The David Beckham UNICEF Fund" earlier this year in February. The campaign aims to help the world's most vulnerable children.

At the time, the former England football captain said: "Everything I have done, my football career, my family, has led to this point – this is the moment for me to do what I can to help children in every corner of the world. This is something I want my own children to be proud of."
