Hilary Duff is ready to move on following her split from Mike Comrie. The 27-year-old revealed that she has joined Tinder in a bid to find love again.
The actress called into On Air with Ryan Seacrest on Tuesday morning after fans spotted her on the dating app and admitted: "It's totally me on Tinder."
Hilary explained that it started out as a joke, but she has since gone on to have her first date with a man she met on the site.
Hilary Duff revealed she has signed up to Tinder
"It kind of started out to be a joke with some of my girlfriends. I was like, 'Explain this whole thing to me because it's kind of blowing my mind.'
"I never thought anything was really going to happen. I was talking to a few of the guys and they were really normal."
The mum-of-one went on her first date recently, and has another lined up for later on in the week.
"I'm just a Tinder animal!" she joked. "I had my Tinder training wheels on for my first date. Now it's smooth sailing."
The actress filed for divorce from Mike Comrie in February
Hilary filed for divorce from her husband Mike Comrie in February, and requested primary custody of their three-year-old son Luca. The couple have remained on good terms for the sake of their son, and Hilary recently said that they will always be close.
"We are a unit and we're going to be a unit for the rest of our lives," she told People magazine. "We realised (as a couple) we weren't where we used to be. But I feel so lucky this happened when Luca was young because this is his normal now."
She added: "It's a shift to have your routine shaken up, (but) you can't mess up one day with a three-year-old. When you make big decisions in your life, you feel powerful. I feel happy, I feel good and I'm excited about all I have going on."
