Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and her former Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley Walsh enjoyed a mini reunion on Tuesday. The pair both shared photos from their "long overdue" catch up with their fans on social media.
In a fun snap posted on Instagram, Cheryl puckers up and places an arm around her friend while playfully squeezing her face.
"Look at this little mush!!! Long overdue squeeze and chat with @kimberleywalshofficial," she wrote.
Kimberley also shared a photo of herself and Cheryl smiling together as they enjoyed their relaxed catch up. Unsurprisingly the photos proved incredibly popular with the singers' fans, with many pleading for the pair to "bring back Girls Aloud".
Cheryl and Kimberley have remained incredibly close following the band's split in 2013, and Cheryl recently helped her friend to celebrate her first Mother's day by sharing a sweet snap of Kimberley's son Bobby.
"I'm due some serious snuggles @kimberleywalshofficial. look at him #Bobs #littleman #HappyMothersDayKimba," Cheryl captioned the image of baby Bobby attempting to crawl.
Kimberley welcomed her first child with partner Justin Scott in September, and recently opened up about her desire to be a "positive role model" to fellow new mums after losing her baby weight slowly.
"It's good for other women to see that not everybody just snaps back straight away," she told Mother & Baby magazine. "I think I'm a positive role model to other women who might find comfort in the fact that I did not spring back into shape."
The 33-year-old is currently enjoying some time out of the spotlight with her baby son. Meanwhile Cheryl is expected to make her return to The X Factor over the summer.
Simon Cowell has reportedly offered Cheryl a lucrative £2million contract to return to the judging panel, however it is unclear who will be joining her. The music mogul is keen to revamp the show and is believed to be replacing Mel B after just one year as a judge.
