Ryan Gosling sends flowers of condolence to grieving girlfriend

Ryan Gosling has sent a bunch of flowers to the grieving girlfriend of Ryan McHenry, the creator of the Vine video clips 'Ryan Gosling won't eat his cereal', who sadly passed away at the weekend aged just 27.His heartbroken partner Joanne McGuiness, 26, posted a picture of the bouquet on her Facebook account, and was clearly touched by the actor’s thoughtful gesture.

"My darling, flowers arrived today with a beautiful message about how wonderful you are," she wrote. "They are from Ryan Gosling, looks like you are best buds!"You made this all happen so when I look at them I know that they are really from you. So thank you, I love them x. "Ryan's gesture comes a few days after he paid a touching tribute to the Scottish film-maker, who tragically lost his two year battle with bone cancer on Sunday. The actor posted a Vine clip of himself pouring a bowl of cereal and eating it, pausing briefly to raise his spoon in a silent tribute to Ryan.Internet star Ryan found fame in 2013 thanks to his memes, which showed short scenes of the Hollywood actor appearing to refuse to eat spoonfuls of cereal.

The Hollywood star also shared a message of condolence

To accompany his tribute clip, Drive star Ryan also wrote a thoughtful message of condolence. "My heart goes out to all of Ryan McHenry's family and friends," he tweeted. "Feel very lucky to have been a part of his life in some small way."

Dumfries-born Ryan told The Verge back in 2013 that there was a reason for his Ryan Gosling project. "As a film maker, I like to have a conclusion to things," he said. "The only conclusion I can see out of this whole thing is to have Ryan Gosling respond to this. Even if it is just him eating cereal. "That same year, Ryan was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, with only 530 new cases identified in the UK each year. He was candid about his struggle with the disease and shared videos and photos of himself receiving treatment.Thousands of fans have paid tribute to the internet star using the hashtag #RIPRyanMcHenry. A JustGiving page has also been set up in his memory to help raise money for the Sarcoma UK cancer charity.
