Former X Factor contestant Carolynne Poole is gearing up for a return to the spotlight with the release of her debut album. The talented singer will showcase her new music to a VIP crowd in Manchester at the end of the month.
The event, hosted on 28 May, will coincide with the release of her debut single I Love You But Shut Up. Carolynne's forthcoming release has already been added to the BBC Radio 2 playlist and is creating a buzz in the UK music industry.
Carolynne famously competed against the likes of Rylan Clark, Ella Henderson and Union J during her time on The X Factor in 2012. She became known for her strong country influences and has since gone on to hone her sound by penning her forthcoming album in Nashville and Los Angeles.
The singer's music has prompted comparisons to Shania Twain and won Carolynne the admiration of Take That star Gary Barlow, who said: "She is supremely talented and just oozes Country."
Following her stint on The X Factor, Carolynne decided to pursue her dream and head to the heart and soul of country music – Nashville. The 34-year-old toured her way around the region and spent time recording with Grammy winning songwriter Jeff Silbar, who has penned songs for the likes of Dolly Parton and Fleetwood Mac.
Carolynne is set to return to Nashville in June to perform at one of the many country music festivals, but is continuing to build her fan base by performing at venues across the UK ahead of the release of her first UK single which features Albert Lee.
The Huddersfield-born singer will host her star-studded album launch at Gorilla bar in Manchester on 28 May.
