Bobby Brown and Pat Houston, sister-in-law to the late Whitney Houston, have been named as Bobbi Kristina Brown's co-guardians. The 22-year-old's father and aunt are now legally in charge of her care and medical needs."We are delighted to inform the public that the court has appointed Bobby Brown and Pat Houston as co-guardians of Bobbi Kristina Brown ('Krissi')," read a statement received by People magazine. "Both Mr. Brown and Ms. Houston are jointly responsible for decisions related to Krissi's care and medical needs."

The statement was released by Pat Houston, Cissy Houston's counsel, David Long-Daniel, Christopher Brown and the counsel for Bobby Brown, according to People.It's unknown what the future hold's for Bobbi Kristina's health.Almost three months after she was discovered in an unresponsive state in a bath tub at her Atlanta home, her father Bobby told an audience during on of his concerts that she was "awake"."Bobbi is awake. She's watching me," he declared at a show in Texas.

Bobbi's aunt Tina Brown then confirmed that her niece had woken up and been taken off life support."Yes, she woke up and is no longer on life support!!!!! :) :)," she wrote on Facebook. "God is good!! Thanks for your prayers, still a process, but she is going to be ok. "Bobbi's grandmother Cissy Houston, the mother of the late Whitney Houston, then made a statement to People saying that Bobbi has "irreversible brain damage".

"I have just returned from visiting my granddaughter Bobbi Kristina in the hospital," she said. "And while she is no longer in a medically induced coma she has a tracheotomy and according to the doctors she has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive. "Meeting with the doctors and understanding that she can live in this condition for a lifetime truly saddens me. We can only trust in God for a miracle at this time. Keep us in your prayers."
