In honour of Mother's Day in America Beyoncé Knowles posted a split screen Instgram picture – one side showing the singer and toddler Blue Ivy and the other of her at a similar age with her own mother Tina Knowles.Fans were quick to spot how similar the little girl looks to a young Queen Bey right down to their cute hairstyles and facial expressions. The pop diva captioned it: "Sending love to mothers around the world".
Her touching post comes after her mum Tina wrote an open letter to celebrate Mother's Day addressed to Beyoncé, her other daughter Solange, her niece Angie and Kelly Rowland, whom she brought up from the age of 11. Tina talked about how loving the global superstar is in private, described Solange as her "rebel warrior" and praised all four women for their support after her divorce.Also feeling the love this weekend was Kris Jenner, who has so many children, stepchildren and son-in-laws that she was bombarded with messages from all sides, which were shared by the social media-savvy clan on their web pages.
The momager's two youngest daughters Kendall and Kylie sent her white roses and a huge balloon display. Khloé wrote: "Mother love is the fuel that helps you do the impossible. I love you mama!!!!"
Reality queen Kim told Kris on Instagram: "Everything I am I owe to you, mom".
Kris had her own message for Kim's husband Kanye, who lost his mother seven years ago after she died from complications due to an operation. She wrote: "I learn something new from him every day. I will never replace his beloved mom Donda but I will always be here for him and love him like my own son. "Sofia Vergara and her fiancée Joe Manganiello marked the day with her entire families, while Jennifer Lopez proudly told followers that 'her coconuts' as she calls her children had made her a books entitled ' My mom can do amazing things'.
