Ever since Avril Lavigne went public with her Lyme disease diagnosis, the Canadian singer has been eager to keep fans in the loop via regular updates on social media. This week, Avril continued her candid streak with an iHeartRadio Twitter takeover chat, in which fans asked the 30-year-old singer their most burning questions along wit the hashtag, #iHeartAvril.
Sitting down with her custom black-and-pink Macbook Pro (so Avril!), the blond songstress replied with some interesting, little-known tidbits about herself – including her favourite movies, TV shows, bands and more.
She also confirmed that she's planning to release new music in the next month or two, as well as new clothing for her fashion line, Abbey Dawn.
The chat was a real treat for Avril fans, who have been rooting for the Napanee, Ont. native during her long road to recovery. The "Hello Kitty" singer had been keeping a low profile for nearly half a year when she finally revealed the reason behind her mysterious absence: She had contracted a severe case of Lyme disease, which had left her bedridden for months.

"I believe that I will come out of this healthier and stronger than I was before,” she said. “I’ve gained a lot of perspective on my life."
