Matt Bellamy's relationship with Elle Evans is going strong. The Muse frontman and his new girlfriend put on a tactile display as they partied together in Cannes.
The couple made no attempt to hide their affection for each other as they embraced and walked hand-in-hand from the luxurious yacht where they had spent the evening.
Elle is currently promoting her upcoming movie Muse at the Cannes Film Festival, and her musician boyfriend is believed to have flown into France on Tuesday especially to support her.
Matt Bellamy has joined his girlfriend Elle Evans in Cannes
Matt has been linked to the actress since February, but has stayed tight-lipped about their relationship, despite reports that things are "getting serious" between them. However Elle hinted that they were dating when asked about her relationship status by TMZ.
"No comment," she replied, before changing her mind and confirming that she was dating someone. When asked if she thought the 37-year-old would make a good boyfriend, Elle quipped: "I'm sure he's an angel."
The outing comes after Matt admitted that he was feeling "really good" following his split from fiancé Kate Hudson.
"Look. We had a great relationship, she's a lovely person, we're better off as friends," he told NME. "Definitely in the last few months I've been feeling much better. Actually, I've been feeling really good."
Matt Bellamy and Kate Hudson announced their split in December
The former couple announced that they had officially separated and called off their engagement in December after a four year relationship.
In a statement Matt and Kate said they remained "very close friends and committed co-parents", and it appears they have stayed true to their word. The pair have been spotted together along with their son Bingham on several occasions since their split.
The musician doesn't often speak out about his personal life, however he did take to Twitter following the split to tell fans it was "for the best".
"Love all of you guys! We're both very happy, it's for the best. Thank you for your kind words. Now about that new album…" he wrote.
