Kim Sears glows during first high-profile appearance since wedding

May 26, 2015

Kim Sears made her return to the tennis court sidelines on Monday to support her new husband Andy Murray at the French Open. The pretty artist was making her first high-profile appearance since she married the tennis player last month, and she didn't disappoint with her glamorous look.

The new Mrs Murray was pictured cheering on the former Wimbledon champion as he battled it out on the clay court and defeated Argentina's Facundo Arguello.

Kim, 27, embraced the early summer sunshine in Paris with a floral-printed dress, and added an edge to her girly outfit with a waterfall black leather jacket.

The glowing and tanned beauty accessorised with a large white leather handbag, and left her trademark glossy locks loose over her shoulders. Kim was also pictured wearing her identity badge, which had her new name Kim Murray printed on it.

Kim's support for her long-term love has clearly had an effect on Andy. Speaking after his victory on court, the Scottish professional player admitted that he is on better form this year than he has been in previous seasons.

"I've always said if the personal stuff is happy and under control that helps your performance on the court," Andy, 28, told Sky Sports. "But I also feel healthy this year and I have trained well, I'm in much better shape on the clay than I have been for a number of years."

Andy also spoke about his surprise proposal to Kim, which took place at the end of last year.

"Well, she had put up with me for nine and a half years – so nine and a half years together before we got married," said Andy. "It was probably about time that I proposed and I'm glad that she said yes. My tennis, since we got married, has been good. I hope I can keep that up."

Andy – who earlier this month scribbled in marker pen "Marriage works" on a photographer's camera lens after a match – also added: "[Marriage] has been nice and a lot of people have spoken about the honeymoon period. But we've been together a very long time and getting married was the next step."
