The X Factor judge Mel B celebrated a milestone birthday on Friday, and her fellow Spice Girls were on hand to wish her "love health happiness success". Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell took to social media to share their celebrations with Mel, with Emma writing on Twitter: "Happy birthday @OfficialMelB the big 40. Love you so much. Xx".
The newly-married Geri Halliwell meanwhile added a throwback picture of her and Mel - aka Scary Spice - to Instagram, writing: "
Mel however stayed off social media on the big day, choosing instead to spend it with her husband, film producer Stephen Belafonte, and her three daughters.
The three women were all once a part of the Spice Girls, a global phenomenon who became the best-selling female group of all time and were credited with bringing the term "girl power" into the mainstream.
They have remained close over the years, with Mel sadly missing Geri's recent nuptials to F1 boss Christian Horner. The 40-year-old instead tweeted her love to Geri over Twitter, writing: "@gerihalliwell wishing you the most beautiful special day of your life,I love you xxxx".
Emma however did attend the big day, and her sons, Beau and Tate, were both members of the wedding party.
Hot on the heels of the wedding, Geri shared an entertaining photo on Instagram which suggested that Emma had caught her bouquet and was next to walk down the aisle.
The snap showed Emma – aka Baby Spice – and her long-term partner Jade Jones clasped in a sweet embrace, holding up the bunch of pink, white and cream peonies and roses.
"We're next," the photo of Emma and Jade was captioned.
Earlier in May, the 39-year-old admitted that she and Jade keep "forgetting" they have a wedding to plan. The couple got engaged in January 2011 – just four months before Emma gave birth to their second son Tate.
The former Spice Girl and the chef, who have been in a relationship for 17 years, welcomed their first son Beau in 2007.
