Just a few weeks after announcing her fourth pregnancy, Sophie Ellis-Bextor stepped out onto the red carpet and showed off her growing baby bump. The singer put on a radiant display on Wednesday night, attending the Baileys Women's Prize for Fiction awards.
Arriving at the Royal Festival Hall in central London, Sophie looked gorgeous in a green printed smock dress. The summery number featured an empire waistline that drew even more attention to her bump.
Sophie certainly had that pregnancy glow around her. The 36-year-old let her natural beauty shine through and kept her make-up to a minimum, wearing just a slick of bright red lipstick and a touch of blusher.
Sophie was joined by her mother Janet Ellis at the awards, which were held to celebrate excellence, originality and accessibility in fiction written by women. British author Ali Smith won the prize for her sixth novel How to Be Both.
Pregnant Sophie was pictured cuddling up to her mum Janet, who looked right on trend in a black top and geometric-patterned culottes.
After receiving messages of congratulations last month, Sophie, who is married to The Feeling's bassist Richard Jones, finally confirmed her baby news on Twitter. The Murder On The Dancefloor singer had attended a fashion event where she showed off a visible bump, leading fans and fellow attendees to assume she was expecting.
"Hello all. Been finding it a bit nice-but-strange to be congratulated on a pregnancy I haven't actually announced yet…" wrote Sophie.
She then shared a picture of her husband Richard pointing a finger at her stomach, asking: "What do you think, @thefeeling R? Is there a baby in there?"
Richard replied saying: "Yes there is!", leaving Sophie to confirm the news with a final tweet. "Ah ok, cool! Mystery solved. Baby in autumn. Lovely! As you were. Xx".
The two musicians are set to celebrate their tenth-wedding anniversary this June. The couple have three sons together – Sonny, 11, Kit, six, and three-year-old Ray.
