Kylie Jenner may only be 17, but she doesn't rely on her parents for financial support. The reality TV star revealed that she has been paying her own way for the last three years after her mother Kris Jenner "cut her off".

"My mum cut me off financially three years ago so I pay for everything – my car, my gas and food as well as my clothes," Kylie told InStyle magazine.

Despite being lauded for her edgy style, Kylie also confessed that she regrets a lot of the outfits she bought over the last few years.

Kylie Jenner said she has paid her own bills for the last three years

"There are so many outfits I bought in the past that I just think now are NOT cute – but there's not very much I can do about it!" she said.

Kylie has amassed an estimated $5million fortune over the last few years from her appearance on Keeping Up With the Kardashians and a series of endorsements, including her new Topshop collection with her older sister Kendall.

The independent teen has already bought a $2.7million home in Calabasas which she plans to move in to when she turns 18 in August.

Kylie says her sister Khloe is more of a mother figure than Kris Jenner

Kylie's confession comes just weeks after she admitted that her sister Khloé Kardashian is more of a parental figure to her than her mum.

"Khloé is more of a mum to me than my mum is sometimes," she told Grazia. "My mum is all about being friends."

However the Nip + Fab ambassador does admit to being inspired by her mother's style.

"I think my style is a little bit darker thanks to my mom," she told InStyle. "There are a lot of skulls around her house and the furniture is mostly black and white. She wears a lot of black too, I think that has definitely rubbed off on me."
