Louis Smith and Lucy Mecklenburgh are undeniably head over heels in love but one thing is certain – the couple are definitely not engaged. The Olympic medallist was asked about his relationship with his former TOWIE star girlfriend when the chatter soon turned to wedding talk.
Appearing on Loose Women on Tuesday, Louis had to disappoint Gloria Hunniford and Jamelia when he admitted he had no plans to get down on one knee.
The ladies showed excitement, however, when Louis added the word "yet".

"I'm sorry but we're not," said Louis, who has been surrounded by engagement rumours for weeks. "I woke up and had a Google alert saying that we were."
After Jamelia begged Louis to propose to his other half there and then, Louis turned to the camera and said: "I'm sorry to disappoint you Lucy but we're not getting engaged yet."
"She's gorgeous. She's hard not to like," added the 26-year-old of his former reality TV star girlfriend.
"I've tried to sweep her off her feet," Louis has previously told HELLO! magazine
Louis and Lucy first met while filming gymnastics show Tumble, where the pretty brunette acted as a contestant and Louis sat on the judging panel. Their romance soon blossomed, but it sounds like fans and the media had anticipated their chemistry.
"There were rumours that we liked each other on the show, whilst the show was going on, but we hadn't spoken before and that's how we started talking," said Louis.

Speaking exclusively to HELLO! magazine in their first joint interview back in February, the lovebirds harked back on how they first fell in love.
"I've tried to sweep her off her feet," said Louis. "We've only been seeing each other for three months but it feels so easy, as if we've known each other for ages."
Revealing details of the first time they spent time together, Lucy added: "It was probably the best first date I've ever had" with Louis cooking spaghetti and meatballs and inviting Lucy to help him put up his Christmas tree.
