Since she became a mum for the first time in November 2014, Rachel Bilson has kept her baby daughter Briar Rose out of the spotlight. But when the The O.C. actress joined Instagram this week, she couldn't resist acknowledging her little girl.Rachel shared a snap of her Star Wars-themed Vans, a nod to her partner Hayden Christensen's role as Anakin Skywalker in the famous films, alongside a matching miniature pair that no doubt belong to the couple's seven-month-old daughter.Two days after opening the account on Wednesday, Rachel gained 26,6000 followers on the photo-sharing site and her picture of her Briar Rose's shoes garnered over 2,000 likes within 12 hours.
Us Weekly announced the news that Los Angeles-born Rachel had given birth to a daughter at the end of last year.The youngster's name acknowledges the classic fairytale Sleeping Beauty. As the fairies shelter Princess Aurora from Maleficent, they name the little girl Briar Rose – the name which was also used in the original Grimm fairytale in 1812.In the run-up to falling pregnant, 33-year-old Rachel made no secret of her desire to start a family her Canadian love Hayden."(Turning) 30 is a whole different thing," she told Cosmopolitan. "You can slow down and focus on family. Starting a family one day is definitely something I look forward to."

Love blossomed for Rachel and Hayden on the set of Jumper in 2007 and the actor proposed two years later. The engagement was called off in 2010, but the couple reconciled after just a few months.Although the new parents have never married, they seem content with the status quo. Speaking to Health magazine, Rachel described Hayden as her "perfect man, my support, just there for me no matter what. And vice versa".
