Taylor Swift gave one happy couple the ultimate wedding gift last week, when she invited them backstage after one of her concerts. Katy Harris – arguably Taylor's biggest fan – and her husband Chris Eisenmann were married on Friday in front of Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field, where Taylor was performing. Rather than a wedding reception, they then headed inside to watch the singer in concert on her 1989 tour. "If you know anything about me, it's probably how I have been obsessed with Taylor since I first heard her in 2006," Katy wrote on Instagram just a few days before tying the knot. "Chris has been very supportive and could even put most girls to shame going word for word on any of her albums (including deluxe editions).
"I can't think of a better or more fitting way for us to celebrate this time in our lives – I am on cloud 9!!"After the wedding, they posted a photograph online and tagged Taylor before heading inside. Luckily they were recognised in the crowd by the superstar's mum Andrea Finley, and invited backstage to meet Taylor herself.Still wearing her bridal gown, Katy got a hug and a picture with her favourite singer before her wedding day was complete."Last night was a dream sequence. Instagram, meet my new husband Chris and our new friend Taylor!!!!!!" wrote the star-struck newlywed. "I have no words to express last night!!! My two dreams came true!!! @taylorswift @1989tourphilly #hitchedatswift #bestnightofmylife."
It was the second thoughtful gesture from Taylor in less than a week. It was recently revealed that the 25-year-old had kindly donated $15,000 to a firefighter who saved his own wife and son from a horrific car crash. Aaron Van Riper arrived on the scene of an accident to find that the victims were his wife Amber and their seven-year-old son Jonathan. Happily both survived; Jonathan has been released from hospital, although Amber “still has some hurdles to overcome”.The Van Riper family do not have health insurance however, so a fundraising page was set up to help them with their medical bills, and as the story gained media attention, donations began to pour in – including a sizeable sum from the Shake It Off star.
