Calvin Harris cat-sits for girlfriend Taylor Swift

June 22, 2015

Calvin Harris has proved he is the perfect boyfriend for Taylor Swift by looking after her beloved cats while she is away on tour. The Scottish DJ revealed he had taken on cat-sitting duties when he shared a video of Taylor's cat Meredith Grey drinking water from a tap on Instagram on Saturday.

While Calvin did not caption the video, fans were quick to recognise that it was Taylor's pet and commented with their support for the couple, who they have dubbed "Talvin".

"Omg you're taking care of Tay's cat? So cute," one fan tweeted.

Taylor and Calvin have been dating since March and have been spending as much time as possible together when she gets breaks from her 1989 world tour. The couple have been increasingly open about their relationship since first going public at the Billboard Music Awards in May, with Taylor recently sharing the first photo of them together on Instagram.

Calvin also revealed how smitten he is with the Shake it Off singer by referring to her as "my girl" in a tweet following his set at the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas on Sunday night.

He tweeted: "I just played a gig inside a giant owl and my girl just changed the entire music industry what a day."

The 31-year-old was referring to Apple Music's decision to change their payment policy after Taylor said she was refusing to allow the company to stream her album 1989. In an open letter on Tumblr, Taylor argued that it was "unfair" for the company not to pay artists for music streamed during the free three-month trial period offered to subscribers.

Apple have since announced they have changed their policy and will ensure musicians are paid throughout the free trial, much to the joy of Taylor who tweeted yer joy at hearing the news.

Taylor wrote: "I am elated and relieved. Thank you for your words of support today. They listened to us."
